worm Family Sabellidae This shows clearly the segmented body of the worm emerging out of the tube, and the collar at end of the segmented portion of the worm's body. The collar is used by the worm to form its tube. The fan of feathery tentacles used for filter-feeding is collapsed when the worm is out of water. |
