sea cucumber Phyllophorus parvipedes Family Phyllophoridae When submerged in water, the buried Ball sea cucumber extends its feeding tentacles. The tentacles are inserted one by one into the mouth and wiped clean of any edible bits. The tentacles are quickly retracted if it senses danger. |
