Cowrie Cypraea ovum Family Cypraeidae The Ovum cowrie covers its shell with its mantle when it is moving about. The mantle is somewhat 'hairy'. Like most other snails, the cowrie has a pair of tentacles and a siphon (the tube-like structure in between the orange tentacles). |
