Cowrie Cypraea miliaris Family Cypraeidae The Miliaris cowrie covers its shell (2.5-3cm) with its mantle when it is moving about. The mantle has lots of 'hairy' projections that give the creature a shaggy look. If you look carefully, you can see it too has a pair of tentacles and a siphon. |
