Solitary
tubeworm Diopatra sp. The Solitary tubeworm builds a thick tube incorporating shells, big bits of debris and usually includes a large shell or leaf near the top. The tube can be 8-10cm long. The tube entrance usually faces downwards. These worms are predators! They are common on Chek Jawa and their tubes stud the mud and sandflats. |
