Miliaris cowrie

The Miliaris cowrie is sometimes encountered under rocks or grazing among the seagrass. When this cowrie is completely covered in its mantle, it is sometimes mistaken for a slug or some other animal.

Miliaris cowries are often found as a pair of male and female. If you find one, the other is usually not far away!
