Onyx cowrie
Cypraea onyx

Family Cypraeidae


The Onyx cowrie is sometimes seen in the seagrass lagoon and on the rocky shore. Its shell is banded gold- and-brown and its mantle is black. It is not as commonly seen as the other cowries of Chek Jawa.
