Where seen? This large prawn with blue markings on the tail is often seen on some of our shores. In sandy, silty areas and near seagrasses. It is more active at night and usually seen alone.

Features: 5-8cm long. Body beige usually plain with dark spots on the sides. The tail with blue markings on the ends. It can bury itself rapidly in soft silty sand leaving only the tip of its 'nose' and its eyes above the surface.
