Red shrimp

Where seen? This tiny all-red shrimp is sometimes seen on some of our shores, especially those with seagrasses. It are more active at night. Usually seen alone.

Features: About 1-3cm long. Body generally uniformly red with faint banding. Has short skinny 'pincers' and the eyes are rather far apart.
