Where seen? This large flat seaweed with feathery edges is sometimes seen on our Southern shores, attached to coral rubble.

Features: Clumps of several flat sheets up to 10-20cm across. Each clump can be quite large but the clumps are scattered. The blade is thin, flat, translucent, smooth and slippery, with feathery edges. Colour usually red, sometimes brownish or orangey.
