Where seen? This glass-like fish is sometimes seen in groups in pools at low tide on some of our shores, among coral rubble or near seagrasses.

Features:
To about 10cm, those seen about 5-8cm. A silvery almost transparent body. There is a distinctive black mark on the tip of the dorsal fin.

Sometimes confused with Mojarras (Family Gerridae) which has a dorsal fin that is single and continuous without a notch.

What does it eat? It eats small animals.

Human Uses: It is marketed fresh or dried and salted in some places. Also as an ingredient in making fish sauce.
