Nature activities and events happening this week 14-20 Jun 2004 19 Jun (Sat): Free guided walk of Changi Boardwalk Time: 10am meet at the coffee shop nearest to Changi Meridian Hotel There are many beautiful, old and interesting trees around Changi Point. With the recent opening of the Beach front Boardwalk, this walk has become even more interesting. Conducted by the Green Volunteer Network, the entire walk would take about 2 hours and please bring along your own water and wear comfortable walking shoes/sandals. More about the boardwalk and about the walk on the GVN website. To join the guided tour, you will need to pre-book. Contact: info@gvn.com.sg or 6337 6062. 19 Jun (Sat): PrawnWatch at Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve Time: 9.30am, please be at the Visitor Centre by 9am View a demonstration of the traditional method of prawn harvesting. Learn how the tides play a part in this activity. The demonstration is free but usual entry charges to the Reserve apply: $1 per adult, 50cents per child/student/senior citizen.
