17 and 18 Jul (Sat and Sun):
Free guided walk at the Pasir Panjang Heritage Trail

Time: 9am, 11pm, 2pm

In conjunction with Singapore HeritageFest Kent Ridge Park, this 2-hour tour will explore the rich natural and social history of Pasir Panjang. It starts at Kent Ridge Park (Upper Car Park) and ends at Reflections at Bukit Changu (31K Pepys Road). Maximum 40 persons per group.

17 Jul (Sat): Free guided walk of Changi Boardwalk
Time: 10am meet at the coffee shop nearest to Changi Meridian Hotel

There are many beautiful, old and interesting trees around Changi Point. With the recent opening of the Beach front Boardwalk, this walk has become even more interesting. Conducted by the Green Volunteer Network, the entire walk would take about 2 hours and please bring along your own water and wear comfortable walking shoes/sandals. 17 Jul (Sat): Free guided walk of
Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve

Time: 9am, 10am, 3pm, 4pm

You'll see the fabulous plants and animals of the mangroves and freshwater wetlands. Meet at the Visitor Centre. Usual entry charges apply: $1 per adult, 50cents per child /student/senior citizen. More details

18 Jul (Sun): Nature Walk at Bidadari Christian Cemetery
Time: 8am, meet outside Exit A of the
Potong Pasir MRT Station (north-east line).
Open only to NSS members and associates

Goh Si Guim of the Nature Society (Singapore) introduces this picturesque, wooded cemetery has been slated for housing development. After a lull of a couple of years to allow for exhumation, it is again quiet at the cemetery. The “woodland” characteristics remain largely undisturbed. Revisit Bidadari to rediscover what natural wonders it still harbours in her realm.
