Nature activities and events happening this week 19-25 Apr 2004 24 Apr (Sat): Earth Day Celebrations at Labrador Park Time : 9am-1pm Come for a fun-filled morning with events such as guided tours of Labrador Park as part of Nature Walk launch, an inter-tidal walk (subject to tidal conditions), exhibition booths including a booth on the intertidal marine life found at Labrador Beach, collecting Earth Wishes, a skating clinic, stage performances, tree-climbing demo. The event is jointly by the SW CDC, National Environment Agency (South West Regional Office), National Parks (NParks) and the West Coast-Ayer Rajah Town Council. Mrs Yu-Foo Yee Shoon, Mayor for South West Community Development Council District will be the Guest-of-Honour. More about Labrador Park how to get there and what to see. More about Earth Day. Contact: South West CDC's contact webpage 24 Apr (Sat): Free guided walk of the Sensory Trail, Pulau Ubin Time: 9.30am and 10am Use all your senses to appreciate and learn about fascinating plants. More details Contact: Ubin Information Kiosk 6542-4108 24 Apr (Sat): Free guided walk of Pulau Ubin Time: 10am, meet at Changi Point Jetty, under angsana tree nearest to jetty. This 2-hour guided nature walk by the Green Volunteer Network brings you through orchards, vegetable gardens, mangroves, prawn farms and coconut plantations. Meet at the Visitor Centre. Usual entry charges apply: $1 per adult, 50cents per child /student/senior citizen.
