beautiful 10ha organic farm is a slice of heaven. Located in an oasis in
the middle of the Sungei Tengah and Sungei Buloh river valleys, Bollywood
Veggies offers you the opportunity to see the development of a well laid
out organic farm. A wondeful feature is a beautiful Bistro set in an aromatic garden where you can sit and look out over the countryside where wild birds and butterflies frolick. Next to the Bistro is an ecopond. The Bistro seats 40 comfortably and can accommodate 70 in a standup cocktail. Bollywood Veggies probably grows the most variety and is larger producer of bananas and papayas in Singapore. They also specialise in fruit vegetables such as ladies fingers, long beans, cucumbers, bitter gourds. They also grow uncommon medicinal trees and herbs. They claim to grow the hottest chilli padi on the island. Another product are lotus. You can buy organically grown vegetables, pots of herbs and medicinal plants, have a lovely meal at the Bistro, fish at their pond or just stroll about on the farm. A great introduction for kids to farms. You don't have to go all the way to Australia. |
