Where seen? This bright orange hairy sponge is sometimes seen at Beting Bronok off Pulau Tekong.

Features:
Fat but flattened leaf-like branches or lobes (10-15cm) covered with long thin stiff hairs that traps sediments so the sponge is often obscured. Colour uniform bright orange.

Covered with long thin stiff hairs.

Trapped sediments hides bright orange colour.

*Species are difficult to positively identify without close examination.
