Snail eggs
updated Apr 2020

if you learn only 3 things about them ...
Egg capsules contain living eggs or tiny snails. Don't disturb them.
Egg capsules are found on stones and among seaweeds. Watch your step.
Please don't bring egg capsules home. Thousands of baby snails may die.

Where seen? Egg capsules and masses laid by shelled snails are seen on many of our shores. Often, these are laid on hard surfaces.

Features: Some snails lay egg capsules, little packages of several eggs. These are often attached to hard surfaces. Other snails may form other egg masses, such as the sand collar of the moon snail.
