The exhibition works seek to explore the artistic nuances of nature in a wetland setting and to appreciate nature through Art as a creative process. More about the Reserve and about Pui San.

Appreciate Ubin's rich secondary forest with our guides on wheels. Bring your own bicycles or rent from the bicycle shops in Ubin. As there are limited spaces available and demand for the guided tours is high, please book early to avoid disappointment. 13 Nov (Sat): Seaweed and Marine plant walk at Labrador
with the Plant Group

Time: 3.30pm Meet at Carpark B of Labrador Park.
Open only to NSS members and associates

Seaweeds figure prominently in the ecology of marine waters, and are a major part of the local economy of many countries in the region as well. Locally, however, how familiar are most of us with marine plants and algae? Before walking along the sandy shores of Labrador to look for seaweeds washed onto the beach, we will take a slow stroll through the Park to find interesting plants in the natural and landscaped vegetation of the Park. Find out about the work being done to help protect the marine life at Labrador by members of the “Labrador Beach Watch”, a volunteer effort supported by local green groups including NSS. Time: 9-11.30am
Where: Jering Trail (Central Nature Reserve) (the last track of boardwalk towards the golf course, parallel to Lornie Road).

Running out of ideas of where to go with your girlfriend/ boyfriend or wife/husband? Here's a chance to get down and dirty in the forest (pun intended)! Plant a tree together and watch it grow into the canopy!
In support of Romancing Singapore 2004, NParks and MCDS are jointly organising a "Tree Planting for Couples" activity!

Botanic Gardens Rainforest Trail

Time: 9am, 10am, 11am, 4pm

You'll see giant rainforest trees and learn about them and the other plants and animals that they shelter on this one-hour tour. Register 15 minutes before the tour at the Visitor Centre. More details about the trail and about the walk on the SBG website. There is now a special Mandarin version of this tour at 4pm.

13 Nov (Sat): Free guided walk at Sensory Trail, Pulau Ubin
Time: 10am sharp

Free 1-1 and a half hour guided walk by the Green Volunteers Network. Use all your senses to appreciate and learn about fascinating plants. Meet 10am sharp at Changi Point jetty (under the big angsana tree nearest to the jetty). More details about the trail. PRE-REGISTRATION IS NECESSARY for this event. Bookings are on a first come first serve basis, up to a max of 25.
