Mangroves
Several large mature mangrove trees are found in the centre of the lagoon surrounded by silty sand typical of the habitat. Common sea stars are plentiful nearby. Pulau Hantu is the only Southern Island besides Pulau Semakau where these sea stars are still common. Some rare and interesting mangrove shrubs are also found on the surrounding shores.
